This is a solution to a problem.
Problem: Many of us are physically, mentally, and emotionally burdened.
Solution: Rest!
This text is an invitation to the Oasis of Rest from the Life Giver to those who are physically, mentally, and emotionally burdened. The Life Giver, the one who knows and understands the design of humankind, made provision for our wellbeing in the beginning with the observance of rest on the seventh day of creation.
Fast forward to today and we live in a society that does not value or understand rest and the conversation about the practice of Sabbath has become complicated. Nevertheless, the oasis is still available.
I called it an Oasis of Rest because it is not rest as we have come to know rest as sleep, relaxation, or spa dates. This is more than catching up on our zzz’s or playing hard. Within God’s rest is the concept of Shalom. Shalom is a Hebrew word that embraces peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare, and tranquility.
God knew we would need rest and restoration in this world.
I pray you find a way to cut through the noise, seek The Life Giver, and claim your rest in God.
